Robert just completed a season as a member of Soho Rep's Writer/Director Lab where he directed the first public reading of Rob Handel's BEING DIFFICULT. Robert also recently directed new plays for another OBIE award-winner, Clubbed Thumb, and for the acclaimed Rude Mechanicals.

Robert is the founder and Artistic Director of Happy Accident, which is devoted to new plays and developing new plays from improvisation. With Happy Accident, Robert premiered BAD JUJU and FILTHY STINKING RICH, each created using the improvisational theater development techniques of Mike Leigh.

Robertís other credits include MUTT by Maya Macdonald (MCC Theater), STILL by Mark Schultz (Rising Phoenix Repertory), MEGAGOD (Axis), Sonya Sobieski's LAST LAUGH and WEEKEND GETAWAY (Cherry Lane Alternative).

Robert was a member of the original Lincoln Center Theatre Directors Lab, a Drama League Directing Fellow, and the Literary Associate at Playwrights Horizons from 1997 to 2000.
